Bit Loft Wiki

The real numbers behind the game. Every chance, formula and price here is read from the game's code, so you can plan your loft instead of guessing.

About these numbers

They match the code of the next update (1.0.4). Some chances were retuned after 1.0.3, such as race loss risk, the Trap, and the hawk, so a few numbers may differ a little from the version you have installed. Chances that were measured by simulation are marked as estimates. Leagues are not covered yet.

Handy rules of thumb

  • Feed before every race. An unfed bird loses 12 ability points; that cuts the starter Janssen's Club Sprint win chance from 28% to 3%.
  • Win chances come from ability, not luck. You need about 20 ability points above the average rival (1.8 x the race's rival strength) to win often.
  • Navigation does two jobs: it adds to race ability and it lowers every loss risk, in races, tosses, tournaments and from the hawk.
  • Only Navigation and Stamina can be trained. Choose speed, recovery and the rest when you buy or breed.
  • Chicks only inherit a quarter of how far their parents are above the breed's normal level, so a better breed matters more than a better parent.
  • Energy mix is worth about 15 ability points for one race. It is the strongest vitamin.

Leagues (coming in 1.0.4)

The Province, Regional, National and International leagues are being finished for version 1.0.4. They add ranked seasons, a stage race, a team league and an International final, with titles and unlocks in the Leagues window. Their numbers are still being tuned, so this wiki does not list them yet. A player guide for leagues will be added here when the update ships.
